With the massively contrasting combination of the historic Drove, an ancient route along the Quantock Hills, with it's ancient trees and exposed tree roots with branches hanging over forming a picturesque path to the barrows and stone cairns of Great Hill with it's views over to the Brendan Hills, Exmoor and even Dartmoor on a good day it really is one of my favourite areas not just for portrait sessions but for walks and riding too - not forgetting to head up Wills Neck which is the highest summit on the Quantock Hills and one of the highest points in Somerset, England. At 1261ft (384m) high, it qualifies as one of England's Marilyns. From the top you see more spectacular views across Bridgwater Bay and across to Wales and the Brecon Beacons.
