Baby Marloe - Newborn Session
I've known Marloe's Mummy, Emily, for a few years from when we used to work for the same company. She's was also bridesmaid for her best friends wedding we captured a couple years ago and we've stayed in touch over instagram so when she asked for photos I was truely honoured! Whilst doing our baby sessions at the baby's home, we keep the shots as natural as possible, capturing them exactly as they are. This really means that every session and set of photos can be different as we're very much lead by what the baby will tolerate. This is key to what we've done for years and we love staying true to. Generally that means we don't use props other than the baby's cuddly toys or special blankets but if the parents have bought a couple props and have the ideas or want to describe what they'd like then I'm usually happy to have a go at making their ideas a reality (I do, however draw the line at babies in buckets). So when Emily and Charlie showed me a pair of angel wings and said another studio couldn't make it work how they had wanted.... well I just HAD to have a go! Thankfully we got the shots they wanted and many more! This isn't the full session. I'm the first to admit that I tend to go overboard with shots and what you get from a full session all in colour and all in black and white also (I just can't bring myself to delete those cute squished up faces). Here's a few of my favourites from their session.
